A Farewell to Slim Spurling

                                                       A Farewell to Slim Spurling

Inventor, Mentor,  Friend of Mother Earth and Truth
                                                                     is Remembered

                                                      Gary 'Slim' Spurling

Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Jul. 3, 1938

Departed on Nov. 12, 2007 and resided in Erie, CO.

Gary "Slim" Spurling, age 69, crossed over on November 12, 2007 in his home in Erie,
Colorado.

Slim was a remarkable man, who committed his life to Restoring the Health of the Environment
and Mankind. He began practicing the ancient art of dowsing in 1970 and found a very simple
and inexpensive method of neutralizing Geopathic stress. Slim was an internationally recognized
expert in the art of dowsing; and gave seminars in the U.S, Canada, Europe, South America and
South Africa on dowsing and application of the Light-Life™ Technology. His inventions are used
worldwide to reduce air pollution, improve the quality of agriculture and peoples lives.

He was loved and respected by the people whose lives he has touched. He will be missed
greatly.

His life's work will continue on through his wife, Katharina Spurling-Kaffl of Bavaria, Germany,
and his devoted employees and friends. Other members of Slim's family include his sister,
Noralle McRobbins of Australia, his sons, Jody and Jay Spurling, five grandchildren, and two
great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Evelyn
(Thompson) Spurling.

Slim attended Colorado State University, majoring in Forestry, Botany, Biochemistry, Mycology,
and technical writing. Prior to graduating he was offered a scholarship for a full master’s degree
program, in return for which, he was expected to do research that would have led to the
development of a mind control substance. Unable to reconcile the breach of ethics that came
with this offer, he refused it, and refused to participate in the graduation exercises at Colorado
State.

The next twenty years were spent as an artist-blacksmith. For five of them Slim ran the largest
blacksmithing school in America. Blacksmithing, coupled with his research into Wilhelm Reich’s
work on the nature of the life force, awakened his alchemical gifts and his abilities as an inventor.

What he discovered about subtle energy taught Slim how to dowse for and relieve the effects of
Geopathic Stress. By the 1990’s he became well known as an expert on this subject, and began
teaching seminars and workshops all over the world.

Further exploration in realm of subtle energy brought him into contact with both the printed work
and the legendary figures in this area. In 1991 Slim discovered a new principle of quantum
physics, now known as the Light-Life™ Technology. The grass roots research association that
formed to gather data and record the effects of this technology has expanded over the years.
Field reports arrive on a daily basis, and all of them point to seemingly infinite applications.

Slim divided his time between producing the Light –Life™ Tools and finding ways to integrate
them with related technologies. He traveled to meet with like-minded scientists, continued his
research, and gathered materials for new applications with the intent to provide benefit for all.

I have never personally been in the presence of such an extraordinary man. My wife and I were
two of the many people privileged enough to come in contact with Slim. The memorial which I
attended was full of family, friends and associates. Many spoke of Slim's creativity, generosity,
ability to listen, his calm ego-less way, and his loving nature. One such speaker was long tome
colleague and friend Bill Reid, who brought along an Indian arrow which was given to him
because Slim felt Bill was such a straight shooter. Another moving speaker was Tana
Blackmore from Pryor, Montana, who had received a channelled message from Slim prior to the
service. Although fairly lengthly, Slim's main message, in my interpretation, was to follow your
heart and although Slim is doing much more from his new vantage point, it is up to each of us  to
blaze our trails in life.

He did mention that although he personally had spent a lot of time and energies on conspiracy
theories he recommend not to be consumed by it all. This was his way of "stirring the pot".
Rather, he recommend to lead with love and find truth. At some point hopefully,Tana and
Katharina, Slim's wife, will make Slim's complete message available.

One other thing that came up in conversation with a friend of Slim's is that Slim preferred to be
known as a Hillbilly rather than a cowboy, although he'll always be remembered sporting his
black cowboy hat adorned with the flattened gold plated energy ring.

Those of you who have stories about Slim and/or the use of his tools, his teaching, dowsing, etc..
please take the time to write them down and forward them to
Katharina Spurling or us at Seeds
for Change. This will be a lasting tribute to a man who has done so much for us all
