QUESTION:
Could you review the levels of the auric field?
ANSWER: Source:
The human aura is an energy field that surrounds the physical body in an egg shape or bubble of
spiritual light, color, sound, feeling and electro magnetic fields. The aura is a reflection of our true
selves, the energy which emanates in, through and around our physical being which is a direct
reflection of that which exists within. It is a blue print or picture of our physical, emotional, mental
and spiritual health. Because of this, the misconception that our aura is always the same is just
that, a misconception. Our aura changes with emotion, feelings, thoughts, spiritual awareness and
even our health, though one color may be more predominant than others.
Just as each human being is unique and individual, so is their aura. Though there may be
similarities, no 2 are exactly the same. Each person's aura vibrates within their own frequency at
different levels of strength and intensity. Because the aura constantly gives off and absorbs energy,
it can also be affected and react to other energies and frequencies, such as another person's aura.
Exchanges of this energy take place all day long with everyone you meet. Due to this, it is important
to understand the affects other's energy can have on you. If you are unaware of this, you may find
yourself feeling drained, may have odd thoughts or feelings that you're not sure why or where they
come from, or you could even feel irritated or frustrated for no apparent reason. These things may
have nothing to do with you at all, but simply may have everything to do with the energy you have
accumulated from others through the day.
We have all experienced people that we have been around that leave us feeling drained, tired, and
exhausted. Visiting with them or talking to them on the phone, leaves us feeling as though we need
a nap. People that we'd just much rather avoid than have to go through the work it takes to deal with
them. This kind of exchange is unhealthy and is a sign of someone that is pulling energy from your
energy. Usually these types are not even aware they are doing this. You'll also find that these types
tend to be more "negative" in their views and outlooks, and much of their conversation will be of a
negative nature. There are some exercises that will help to keep your energy high and vibrant, block
negative energy being directed at you, and to help you to not let others drain you of your energy.
There are considered to be 7 layers to the aura, layered out from the body. Each of these layers
gets progressively less dense than the one before, therefore making them harder to see. I have
found the easiest way to identify and understand these layers is to associate each layer with one of
the 7 main chakras. As an example, the first layer, closest to the body, called the etheric body,
relates to health and security or survival of the physical body. Of course, this is a "simple" method
for classifying them, as the layers are much more abstract than the chakras themselves, and there
is also much disagreement among many about what the outer layers truly signify. I am going to list
here my understandings from my studies of these layers, yet I suggest to gain further information to
form your own opinion, you research the many books on auras, work with exercises seeing and
feeling the aura and gain your own experience in these understandings and interpretations.
The First Layer: The Etheric Body or layer. The physical blueprint of the body. Like the base/root
chakra, it relates to the health, survival and security of the physical body. Physical signs of illness
and injury can be seen in this layer. The etheric layer is closest to the body and fits nearly like a
second skin. Generally, it extends from 1/4 of an inch to two inches from the body. It usually
appears to visual sight as a light blue or gray light or haze right near the skin. This is usually the
easiest layer to see and the first layer seen.
The Second Layer: The Emotional Body. This layer relates to your emotions and boundaries,
emotions with us and emotions we have for others around us. The emotional layer is often seen
as a swirling mass of energy around the body. The form resembles the human shape but is not as
defined as the etheric layer.
The Third Layer: The Mental Body. This layer relates to your basic beliefs, your intellect, personal
power and understanding. This is the layer of thought and ideas. This layer is usually most visible
around the head and shoulders as a yellow glow. It is in this layer that thought and ideas actually
become substantiated. This layer is usually pretty easy to see too. It will really stand out when you
observe someone thinking or concentrating.
The Fourth Layer: The Astral Layer, also sometimes called the Buddhic Layer. The astral layer
marks the division between the physical layers and the higher layers. This layer is responsible for
interaction between people. It is the layer of love and of relationships. Your relationship with others,
yourself, God and your body.
The Fifth Layer: Etheric Template, also known as the Atmic Layer. The fifth layer is where the
descriptions begin to get more abstract. This body is a copy of the physical body on a higher level. It
is the basic template of your uniqueness and inner identity.
The Sixth Layer: The Celestial body, also known as the Monad. It is the body of emotional level on
the spiritual plane. It is the layer to group consciousness, clairvoyance, and it is the level of
unconditional love .
The Seventh Layer: The Ketheric Template, also known as the Causal Body and referred to some
as " The Divine".. This is the mental layer of the spiritual level, it is our spiritual template. Through
this layer we meld and become one with Spirit. Through this layer we can access the akashic
records and look into our past lives.
Comments from Susan: The longer you work with the energy field of yourself and others, the
easier it is to see the auric field.....I find that when you are in a relaxed, almost daydream like state
that is when, for me anyways, the aura can be seen...initially it can be viewed as a haze, similar to
what you might see at night when looking at the light coming from a street lamp...then, in time
beautiful colors appear in the aura....when working on an individual or yourself, who is experiencing
some type of ailment or illness, it is beneficial to work off the body as well, in the etheric layer...here
is where the energy blueprint is held...if the physical body is out of wack, it occurred in this layer
first, balancing this area will help to bring about balance quicker...if this layer is not attended to,
positive results will not hold as long.
