What Laughter Can Do:

•   Lowers blood pressure and helps reduce hypertension
•   Provides good cardiac conditioning
•   Reduces stress hormones
•   Cleanses the lungs and body tissues of accumulated stale air as it empties more air than it takes in
•   Increases muscle flexibility, relaxation and blood circulation
•   Boosts immunity by increasing the production of T-cells
•   Relaxes the body, aids in releasing endorphins which induce a more calming physical state
•   Helps put things into perspective by creating distance and objectivity
•   Helps us take ourselves less seriously

Suggestions for Adding Humor:

We all know that one person who will absolutely put us in stitches laughing, give them
a call and laugh along with them.
•
Look for Laughter Every Day:
Be on the lookout for a funny incident, a thought, a billboard, a commercial, whatever
it  is that will help you crack up.
•
Practice Fake Laughing:
It has been discovered that faking laughter will cause the body to respond as though the
laughter is real.  So practice pretend laughing for a few minutes a day, before you know it,
you will be laughing at  your attempts to laugh.

Have a Laughing Contest:
Get together with another person or a group, and have a laughing contest, it won't be long
