Who Controls The News?
Bill talked about how to get
your message out...
Especially in regards
to the type of thinking and
teaching that is done at the
Nature Lyceum
Walt Gregory is an organic farmer from
Illinois who shared his secrets and
stories about growing food, in only the
way a spellbinding storyteller can..

Scott Anderson, a Golf Course Superintendent,
with an alternative twist, presented the topic of
Dowsing and Geopathic Stress Removal.
Using the ancient technique of dowsing, Scott
showed how this tool can be used in a variety
of ways, especially in regards to locating areas
of geopathic stress that are affecting
properities.
These techniques are based on the teaching of
Slim Spurling, and his healing Light Life Ring
Technology

Have You Thought About
What you are stepping on when you walk
outside barefoot? Ok, so maybe you don't
run around outside barefoot anymore, but
how about your kids? You grandkids? Your
pets?
Jennifer Appel, is a registered landscape
architect who speaks passionately about the
organic approach in our landscapes and
gardens.

Did You Know...
A fresh egg doesn't need refrigeration? i
didn't!
Thea Fry, a Green Guerrilla, High School
Teacher entertained us with her small
flock of chickens that attended class with
her. She talked about how to raise
chickens for fun and profit in your back
yard. Made my mouth water for the taste
of a fresh egg.
Here is a link for information about
starting a backyard flock of your own.
If you live near the Nature Lyceum, Thea
will be happy to sell you some fresh eggs
or answer any of your questions.
Who Likes to Be Sitting Next to Who? Ask
Angeliki!
Angeliki Davis, Horticulturist and Healer, began
her lecture with a beautiful musical presentation,
using an instrument called the Wing. This was
followed by her informative talk on Companion
Planting and Bach Flower Essences. If you ever
wondered why your carrots didn't grow well with dill
planted nearby, it's because they don't really like to
be close to one another! Learning about what
plants thrive or take a dive based on their proximity
to one another, can help tremendously!
Laura Riccardi, Biodynamics Specialist
Here we were treated to a delightful session
with the spirited and energetic Laura Ricardi.
Laura studied at the Josephine Porter Institute
of Applied Biodynamics Inc.
In her presentation she explained about
biodynamic preps -- their value and importance
in our organic work, whether backyard
gardener or farmer. These are preparations
developed by Rudolf Steiner back in the
1920's. The preps are then mixed with water
and sprinkled onto the land with amazing
results. She also spoke of how planting and
harvesting according to the phases of the
moon can have a profound outcome on
productivity and flavor of food crops.

Have Sprouts Will Travel
Fred Garofalo gifted us with his
experience and knowledge about how to
grow sprouts and greens indoors. With
just a small investment of money and time,
everyone can be growing healthy, nutrient
dense greens in their homes.
If you want to see how easy it is, check out
the picture tutorial I did following Fred's
directions this past winter.
Ian Steiber, Organic Farmer
Ian's unique approach to helping grab your
attention about going organic, has a way of
making you sit up straight and listen to what
he has to say, or else!
In a nutshell his message is about working in
a connected way, forming community
support and doing it organically.
Ian is a huge supporter of the Weston
Price Foundation. Make sure to check it out.
Ian, is a transplanted Green Guerrilla from
NY, who left for the midwest to work with Walt
Gregory on his farm as well as to help get
the message out about organics in the
Illinois area.

Steve Storch
Hmm, now how does one describe
Steve? Put one part scientist, with
one part inventor, stir in a large
dose of spiritual connectedness
with a equal amount of zany, add a
dash of farmer, a pinch of
business man and equal amounts
of wisdom, knowledge and intuition
and you start to get the picture of
the character of Steve Storch.
Steve's knowledge and experience
is vast, but when I have heard him
speak at the Nature Lyceum it is
usually about Biodynamics. So
you really need to come here to
learn more about this topic or you
can go to this article I found about
Steve that has lots of pictures and
information, so check him out.
